Homemade Mexican Baked Beans (Vegan)
I don’t know about you, but baked beans scream comfort food to me!
They’re incredibly versatile and underrated in my opinion, they’re packed with fibre, a complex carbohydrate and what’s more, can be added to pretty much any meal.
Making your own couldn’t be easier and healthier than the shop bought tins which are full of unnecessary additives and an excess of salt and sugar.
Let’s get cooking…
-200g Cannellini Beans
-10g Double Concentrated Tomato Puree
-200g Chopped tomatoes
-1 TSP Garlic powder
-1 TSP Paprika
-1/2 TSP Onion powder
-Pinch Crushed Chilli Flakes
-Pinch of Salt
-1 TBSP Soy Sauce
-1 TBSP Worcester Sauce
-2 TBSP Water
1.Simply combine all your ingredients and simmer on a low heat till the sauce is nice and thick.
2.Serve with nachos, potatoes, in a burrito- the possibilities are endless!
