Salted Caramel Cinnamon Porridge
Every time I look at this photo my head screams ‘It’s like summer in a bowl!’ for those of you who know the reference you’ll understand why :p
This is a simple, easy and fool-proof recipe you can enjoy at any time of the day in my opinion. I appreciate porridge is typically a breakfast dish but with the current situation as it is, who’s today what meal times are what at the moment? You can enjoy this whenever you see fit. It’s packed full of fibre, vitamins, slow release carbs and best of all- flavour! Give it a go and let me know how you get on 🙂
Ingredients for one:
80g oats
20g coconut powder
40g salted caramel protein powder
1 TSP Cinnamon
300ml soy milk
Toppings:
100g Fresh strawberries
Cinnamon syrup
Winter spice choc shot
Sprinkle of cinnamon
Method:
1.Combine your oats with the milk, microwave for 1 minute. Stir well then microwave for a further minute.
2.Add the coconut flour, microwave for a further 30 seconds then add the protein powder & cinnamon and vigorously mix through to avoid getting any clumps. If the porridge is too thick, add a splash more milk before microwaving for a further 30 seconds.
3.The porridge will thicken as it cools, place in a serving dish then layer with fresh strawberries, cinnamon and choc shot syrup then sprinkle with cinnamon powder to finish. Tuck in & enjoy!!
